New Water Subscription Application
Required Terms and
Documents
1.
Full completion of the
construction works is a condition for accepting the permanent domestic
subscription.
2.
A copy of the
registration document for the owner; a lease contract for the lessee.
A permit of occupation or a substituting document to the same effect.
3.
A copy of the zoning
plan.
4.
An ID document.
5.
A certificate of old
building for a real estate constructed before 1.5.1987.
6.
For non-domestic
subscription (commercial, agricultural, industrial), the above documents shall
be submitted in addition to a valid certificate of profession practice, a
license issued by the Ministry of Agriculture, or an industrial registration
license.
Fees, insurance
deposits and stamps
Subscription fees for a
domestic meter of (1/2”, 4/3”): JD 103 per 200 built square meters broken down
as follows:

Insurance deposit: JD

JD 10 for stamps (water
agreement)
4.
JD 10 insurance deposits
per extra 100 built square meters if the space of the building is more than 200
square meters.
5.
JD 138 subscription fees
and insurance deposits for the governmental departments.
Venue of Service
Delivery:
Offices of departments and
directorates in governorates and LEMA offices in the Capital.
Average Time for
Service Completion:
From 7 to 10 days. Iif the
real estate venue was previously provided with a water meter and another meter
is applied for, the service will be completed in 1-3 days.
Procedures to Deliver the Service:
1.
A water subscription
form is completed by the competent employee at the relevant department.
2.
The subscription file is
referred to the Inspection Controller in order to implement a real inspection of
the venue.
3.
After the inspection, a
report is produced by the Controller and is signed for inspection truth.
4.
The file is referred to
the Head of the Design and Supervision Division in order to design the water
line (define the track and the diameter).
5.
The file is referred to
the Head of the Subscription Division to verify documents and decide if the pipe
cost is to be paid by the citizen or on the account of the Authority.
6.
The file is referred to
the Collection Division to issue a statement to the effect of full settlement of
the water fees and any other issues pertinent to collection.
7.
The file is referred to
the Accounting Division in order to decide fees.
8.
The Director of
Subscriber Unit legalizes the file and co-signs the agreement with the Citizen.
