Submitting a Complaint of Water
Consumption
Required Documents:
Water bill
Fees:
JD 6 – complaint fees
Venue of Service Delivery:
Offices of departments and directorates at
governorates and LEMA offices in the Capital.
Required average time:
(from one week to 3 weeks)- claims are submitted
to the competent director within one year as from the date of issuing the claim.
Procdures:
1.
The Subscriber reports
to the Department and submits the complaint pertinent to the relevant cycle.
2.
Fill in the complaint
form by the competent employee at the Subscription Application Division.
3.
Pay all due amounts in
relation of the past period of the cycle being the subject matter of the claim.
4.
Pay an amount equaling
the average fees of the cycles preceding the claimed cycle.
5.
Pay the required fees;
i.e. JD 6 as an insurance and in case the complaint proves to be true, this
amount will be deducted from the water price.
6.
Refer the complaint
form to the Complaint Inspector.
7.
The Inspector inspects
the venue of the subscription and fills in the approved form.
8.
Duly implement the meter
test.
9.
Refer the complaint form
after filling it in.
10.
The Complaint Committee
studies the complaint and concludes the relevant decision.
Note:
the Complaint shall be rejected if the consumption being objected to has been
found out that the consumption being objected to doesn’t exceed precedent
averages in more than 25%.
